ESG

As children of immigrants, the principles of Hanini Group are adamant about working with Minority and Women-Owned businesses. Hanini Group’s policy is to strive for 50% of our vendors and trades to be local or Minority/ Women/DBE-owned businesses.

We’ve created training programs that help prepare and train not only subcontractors but also workforce training to provide employment opportunities to businesses created across our developments.

During the development of the Hotel Indigo, we worked with The New Jersey Department of Labor, Essex County College, and The Essex County One-Stop Career Center to create a hospitality training program to help provide complimentary hospitality training to residents in the local community, as well as providing them employment opportunities in the Hotel upon graduation from the program.

Hanini Group also works with local schools and institutions to create opportunities for students from local institutions/schools such as the Eagle Academy for Young Men and The People's Prep to intern and apprentice across careers and trades providing them real-world experience in potential career opportunities.

Hanini Group prides itself on being one of the leading firms in driving the social-economic impact and redevelopment with over 500 permanent jobs created in Newark.
